BIT will deliver Acer laptops to Latvian schools

With the development of the education sector, digitalization plays an increasingly important role in daily processes. The Ministry of Education and Science is investing in the purchase of computer equipment so that Latvian future specialists can adapt to the development of technology more quickly.

Following the successful submission of the tender in the electronic procurement system (EIS) and the approval of the Ministry of Education and Science, BIT will supply 25080 Acer Chromebook 314 laptops to Latvian schools. Globally, Chromebooks are one of the first choices because they are convenient, easy to use, and with low costs. Considering its performance, size and cost, the Acer Chromebook 314 is very suitable for students. It provides long-lasting battery life and performance, and promotes daily productivity with available features.

Additionaly for every laptop will be added license for Google Workspace for Education (standard), which provides security and analytics tools to help proactively protect data on a day-to-day basis and as security risks evolves.

We are currently actively working so that all educational institutions can start using the equipment as soon as possible. The first 3000 computers will be delivered for schools already in November.
