Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Education and Science
September 20 for Baltic information Technology was an important date due to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Education and Science (IZM) on the use of Google for Education in education and teacher education.
The memorandum was signed by Education and Science Minister Anda Čakša and Baltic information Technology Director Harijs Gals. The event featured BIT purchasing specialist Deniss Peļņa and head of Google's education unit in Central and Eastern Europe Pāvels Červonijs.
The main goal of this cooperation is to develop digital education so that it can be fully used during the learning process. This collaboration includes not only delivering Chromebook computers to educational institutions, but also support to learn the software. Specialists from BIT are already conducting various types of seminars on Google for Education, so that teachers can use these computers fully in pedagogy, changing the content of their previous studies to digitised ones.
