First Sigulda Technology Education and Innovation Day 2024 Successfully Held

Baltijas Informācijas Tehnoloģijas (BIT) organized the first Sigulda Technology Education and Innovation Day (STIID 2024) on August 28. This landmark event, organized in collaboration with the Sigulda Technology Education Center, gathered over 80 leading experts from the education and technology sectors to address the role of digital technologies in transforming education.

A key highlight of STIID 2024 was the panel discussion titled “Digitalization of Educational Ecosystems: The Role and Support Opportunities of Various Partners and Institutions.” The panel featured distinguished speakers, including Kristiāna Cielava, Director of Laurenči Primary School; Aleksandrs Lublinskis, Representative of the Cēsi Digital Center; and Anda Priedīte, Head of the IT Education Fund "Start(IT)." The discussion was moderated by Edgars Bajaruns, Director of the Sigulda Technology Education Center. Additionally, Edgars Plētiens, Deputy Director of the Department of Education at the Ministry of Education and Science, presented the future directions and development plans for STEM education in Latvia.

 

The event showcased presentations from prominent technology companies such as Google, Microsoft, Samsung, Nakivo, Acer, and Roboskola.lv. Attendees also engaged in workshops led by experts from BIT, TET, Fortinet, APN Promise, and the Cēsi Digital Center, gaining in-depth insights into the latest trends and solutions in educational technology.

 

STIID 2024 served as a crucial platform for exploring the latest technological innovations and exchanging experiences, promoting the integration of technology into the educational process. This event was one of the main highlights organized by the Sigulda Technology Education Center as part of Technology Month, held at the Innovation Center of Sigulda County.
