Baltic Information Technologies offers secure solutions to help companies comply with the new National Cyber Security Law

With the new National Cyber Security Law adopted by the Saeima coming into force on September 1, 2024, Baltic Information Technologies (BIT) is offering comprehensive services to help companies meet the new minimum cybersecurity requirements. These services are tailored to the specific needs of each company.

The National Cyber Security Law aims to strengthen information and communication technology (ICT) security and cybersecurity. Organizations affected by the law must declare their status by April 1, 2025, and register with the National Cyber Security Centre. By October 1, 2025, they must appoint a cybersecurity manager and submit their first self-assessment report.

Mikhail Potapov, Head of the European Union Cybersecurity Division at the Ministry of Defence, emphasizes the importance of businesses addressing the following questions before implementing cybersecurity measures:

1. How can they ensure their ICT infrastructure and information systems comply with the new minimum cybersecurity requirements?

2. How should they plan and implement cyber risk management measures to ensure business continuity in a crisis?

3. How can they promote cyber hygiene and staff training in cybersecurity?

To help companies adapt to these changes, BIT offers a wide range of services to ensure compliance with the National Cyber Security Law and NIS2 Directive. BIT’s team of certified specialists, experienced in security audits, provides the following services:

1. Assistance with status determination and registration with the National Cyber Security Centre;

2. Cybersecurity Manager services to ensure legal compliance.

3. Implementation of minimum cybersecurity requirements and policy development.

4. Development and review of risk management and business continuity plans.

5. Monitoring of cyber incidents and vulnerabilities.

6. Additional services as required by the National Cyber Security Law and NIS2 Directive.

With extensive experience in cyber security and security audits, BIT also provides equipment and solutions to meet the latest cybersecurity standards, offering clients comprehensive support. By choosing BIT, companies can trust that their cybersecurity is managed by certified professionals, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements.
